Moonlit Walk is an original winter landscape oil painting capturing a quiet evening walk beneath a crescent moon.
A figure in a long coat walks with their dog along a snow-covered path, bordered by bare trees and a curved stone wall. Warm light glowing from the cottage windows provides a contrast against the cool snow and night sky.
I wanted to capture the stillness of an ordinary winter evening — that peaceful feeling of walking through the snow when everything around you seems unusually quiet.
Nostalgic scenes like this are a subject I return to often because simple everyday moments can sometimes make the most memorable paintings.
