Four Cows is an original colourful cow oil painting inspired by four cows I often see while cycling through the countryside.
I wanted to capture their calm, peaceful character as they stand together in the long grass on a bright day.
The blue sky, green field and trees create a simple countryside setting, while the four cows remain the clear focus of the composition. Cows are one of my favourite subjects to paint because of their individual personalities and relaxed nature.
