Edinburgh Rain is an original Scottish city oil painting inspired by the atmosphere of Edinburgh on a wet day.
I wanted the rain to transform the city, using reflected light, wet streets and expressive colour to create a more atmospheric view of the familiar architecture.
Rainy city scenes are a subject I return to often because reflections and changing light can make an ordinary street feel completely different.
