Washing Day by the Loch is an original colourful Scottish folk art oil painting, featuring a whitewashed Highland cottage, washing on the line, blossom trees, Highland cattle and a peaceful loch beyond.
I painted Washing Day by the Loch as a one-of-a-kind original oil painting on canvas. In this scene, I depict a whitewashed Highland cottage beside a loch, with washing, flowers and peaceful rural details.
I used colourful detail and a gently imagined Highland setting to give the painting a warm, nostalgic folk-art character.
