Mary Poppins in the Clouds is an original London oil painting featuring Mary floating high above the city with Big Ben rising through the clouds nearby.
I wanted the scene to feel dreamlike, with Mary almost becoming part of the sky while the familiar London landmark below gives the painting a strong sense of place.
I worked on this painting over several months, building the image in oils on stretched linen canvas to create depth in the clouds and atmosphere around the figure.
Painting details: Original oil painting on stretched linen canvas. Completed in 2020. Size: 20 × 16 inches / approximately 51 × 41 cm. Ready to hang or frame. One-of-a-kind artwork.
