Up to the Highest Height is an original Mary Poppins London oil painting featuring Mary flying high above the Thames and London skyline.
I wanted to create a sweeping view of the city with Mary appearing small against the wide sky and river below, giving the painting a sense of height, freedom and movement.
I built up layers of glazing in the sky and water to achieve deeper colours and give the scene more atmosphere.
