I wanted to create a place that feels peaceful, colourful and full of imagination. The winding road leads through rolling hills dotted with cottages, blossom trees and fields that glow with colour beneath a sky of soft pink clouds. In the foreground, an artist stands at her easel.
Although the scene isn't based on one particular place, I wanted it to have the comforting feel of a countryside that has always existed somewhere in our memories. The sheep, stone walls and distant mountains all add to the sense of calm, while the rich colours celebrate the simple joy of painting the world a little brighter than it really is.
