I wanted to capture the atmosphere of a busy city street on a wet evening. The woman is rushing along as the wind catches her coat and blows her umbrella away, and she reaches out to catch it. Newspapers are scattered across the street, while the warm light from the café contrasts with the cool blues of the rain. The tram, umbrellas and reflections help bring the scene to life. I wanted it to feel like a brief moment in the middle of an ordinary evening, with the city carrying on around her.
